Along with the blog, I have another job. I tutor at The Learning Academy, I work with “littles” learning to read and I tutor chemistry and math. I enjoy all of it. The young kids and the older ones. I love all that I learn from them, I love watching them have that “ah-ha” moment and I even enjoy going down the rabbit hole to find a way to help, explain differently and ways to make it fun. With “April Break” upon us I thought it might be useful to share some of my favourite resources for little readers.

- Word family cube

- Magic “e” Game
One more for the road… my students also like this Word Bump game. It’s a fun way to practice sight words or spelling words. The fun part is that you can “bump” someone off their space. Kids can play with different age siblings, just use a different list for each.
Have a great break!
