But then the universe decided to throw me curve balls aplenty. “You want a break?” the universe asked, and then with the sense of humour usually reserved for psychotic army Sergeants of film, the universe howled with laughter and sent me broken down cars, storm stays, terrifying winter drives, family in hospital for weeks and the horrifying experience of a missing family member.
