Well, it’s getting to be that time again! Snow on the ground, twinkling lights… time to start thinking about Christmas! While there is always a lot to do, I try to keep things as simple as I can. One thing I always avoid is a big trip to a mall. Frankly, I never find much inspiration for Christmas gifts in malls and there are so many great gifts to buy right here in Saugeen Shores! No big drive, no long days just friendly, local shops that support our sports teams, giveaways and hire our kids for summer jobs. So to encourage you to keep it simple and shop right here and to give you some gift inspiration… here are my top ten Christmas gift ideas right here at home!
Games from Turtle Crossings (Exploding Kittens, What do You Meme and Sling Puck)
I love spending time with my family at Christmas. We always have some laughs around a board game so of course, I had to put a (three) board game(s) on my list. My Brother-In-Law is a board game expert. When he makes a recommendation, I listen. He was the first to recommend “Exploding Kittens” to me but not the last. Great Game! We have “What Do You Meme” at our cottage and people like it so much they have written in the guest book about it! I haven’t played “Sling Puck” but I want to! My husband has played hockey all his life and goes undefeated at crokinole but I still hold out hope that I could beat him at a game that appears to be a combination of both!
