So, I was looking for inspiration for a blog post and I thought I’d look at some high end properties on Realtor.ca. I decided on the Collingwood/Blue Mountain area and looked at several places in the six million dollar range! I expected to find a dreamy ski lodge to inspire me…
Surprisingly, I wasn’t really all that inspired, though this one was very nice.
As stunning as this property is, it just isn’t giving that dreamy vibe, so I came up with my own inspirational look. Below see how I would furnish a dreamy ski lodge living room…

Since I absolutely love the work of Amber Lewis, (it is SO DREAMY!) I took inspiration from her style. Everything in this cozy living room design is from Shoppe Amber Interiors because the products in her shoppe are just as lovely as her work. If you aren’t familiar with her work, check out Amber Interiors and see if you don’t fall in love too! She has also written a gorgeous book called Made For Living: Collected Interiors For All Sorts of Styles. You can purchase it here.
So for this ski lodge living room, I layered cozy textures, chose comfy seating and neutral colours (with just a touch of blue) to create a retreat to return to after a long day on the slopes.
Below is what I came up with for a peaceful, dreamy retreat, perfect for an upscale ski lodge or really, anywhere you would like that same aesthetic.
