I found this stylish shirt dress at Zara. It’s perfect for a stylish workplace or for a freelancer in the arts, design or fashion industries. This shirtdress from Ralph Lauren is appropriate for a more traditional workplace. I love how they have styled it here with the belt and the booties. Also the turtleneck can take this dress into winter. This comes with a higher end price tag but it is made of italian wool and is tailored for a better fit.

When shopping for a shirt dress, look for one that is tapered at the waist and a has a length that you find flattering. Style with ankle booties or knee high boots for a more casual look. For a traditional or formal work place, opt for pumps. A belt, if not attached is a must if you want to have shape. Some of the summer shirt dresses are meant to be worn loose and casual, but we are creating a work look, so tailored is best. For warmth, shirt dresses can work layered with a turtleneck or topped with a cropped or mid-length blazer. If you want to layer on a sweater, tie the belt on top.
