Can you guess which of these is high and which is low? Let me know if you guessed correctly in the comments section!
By the way, one of these is UNDER $800. Can you believe I designed an entire boy’s bedroom for such a bargain price tag? Jussst squeeked under the $800 dollar mark, but still! My secret is my source and honestly, it’s one of my favourite stores. It’s obviously a low-price store and it is also Canadian! Well I’m about to let the cat out of the bag (bad pun that you don’t get yet) Everything in the bargain bedroom is from Giant Tiger! There are some high-style pieces in store and on-line.
Takeaways from this space…
- The fold down desk saves money and space
- Mix of looks keeps it interesting. The art, the wire baskets and the black metal of the bed lend an industrial feel, while the style of the bed, the bedding and the warm colours in the rug up the cozy country factor so it doesn’t feel cold.
- The chair is a midcentury modern style which I love, but the important thing with a kids room is that it is wipeable
- Plant add life to a room literally and figuratively. (Well this one is artificial so I guess just figuratively!)
- My favourite pieces are the bed, the art and that double-decker bus coin bank? Adorbs!
Well, did you guess? Or do you just scan down for the answer? I used to love guessing high/lows, analysing each item. I was usually right, but that might be due more to obsessive behavior than to having a good eye for decor! Ha! The answer? Boy’s Bedroom #1 is the low coming in at a total of $779 and Boy’s Bedroom #2 is the high with a total cost of $1446.

These hi/lows are fun to guess! Also a great idea to decorate kids rooms economically because then you can afford to redecorate as they grow into new stages. Thanks Callie!!
